Enforcement Is Expensive

The ‘doormen’ have gone from Waitrose. I recogn that having them was expensive for the supermarket. They were only there to hector people to wear a muzzle.

Now, if you can get people to comply without compulsion, maybe by changing social norms, well that’s cheaper than having big fellas at the door.

Coupled with the fact that people know how to claim compensation against shops who refuse entry for being barefaced. Ouch, bouncers are expensive!
